Sensible Soccers Manoel
-Short Documentary

A documentary short-film about the band Sensible Soccers, their album called “Manoel”, that sounds and musicalizes Manoel Oliveira’s films “Douro Faina Fluvial” and “O Pintor e a Cidade”.

This documentary succinctly explores the process of the creation of two new soundtracks for two movies of the legendary portuguese film maker Manoel de Oliveira, "Douro Faina Fluvial" (1931) and "O Pintor e a Cidade" (1956).
It explores the connection between the two different art forms, in this case, cinema and music, and how this can converge and cooperate between themselves.
It also presents testimonials of Manuel Justo, Hugo Alfredo Gomes e André Simão, members of the Sensible Soccers group, in relation to their evolution as a group, from the initial moments where "nothing existed" to the current situation where the band is seen as a main name in the Portuguese independent scene.
